I recently painted the beautiful facade of Chagee’s new Pagoda House store, and thought it’d be fun to share a part of my process with you… my sketch! You can download it, print it out, and turn it into your own coloring sheet at home.
If you’re printing on regular paper, I’d suggest using colour pencils.
But if your printer can handle thicker paper, go ahead and try watercolors — that’s what I used for mine.
Colouring is such a simple joy — relaxing, creative, and perfect for both kids and adults. There’s really no pressure, just play!
But if you want to make your piece stand out a little more, here are a few easy tips 🎨
Start light - layer colours slowly so you can adjust tones as you go.
Blend shades - mix two similar colours to create depth and texture.
Add shadows - darker edges or underlines help bring the building to life.
Keep highlights - leaving some areas white adds a nice contrast.
Use texture - try different strokes for bricks, plants, or glass.
Outline at the end - a thin dark line can make everything look crisp.
Enjoy it! Don’t worry about perfection.
And if you do try it, I’d love to see your version!
